Assembly Hall

The Assembly Hall is a multi-purpose facility that features the largest capacity of any Illinois arena outside of Chicago.  It has nearly 16,000 permanent seats and large floor space making it the perfect venue for all types of athletic events.  The Assembly Hall is home of the Fighting Illini Men's and Women's Basketball teams and hosts the IHSA Wrestling State Finals and Illinois Drill Team Association State Championships each year.

Lake of the Woods Forest Preserve

Lake of the Woods County Park is a 900-acre preserve that features an 18-hole regulation golf course, a 9-hole par 3 course and practice range, fishing, hiking, picnicking, cross-country skiing, sledding, the HI-tower bell carillon and observation area, 3.3 mile bicycle/pedestrian path, the Early American Museum, Mabery Gelvin Botanical Gardens, building rentals, and programs.

Sholem Aquatic Center

 NOW OPEN!! This $7million aquatic center is located with in Centennial Park and includes the following features:  2 zero depth entry pools with spray features, 3 water rides including a lazy river, body flume slide and a tube ride in the river, eight 25 yard lap lanes, shade and sun areas, family restrooms, concessions, bathhouse, and rental areas.

Stone Creek Golf Course

Opened in 1999, this Tim & Dick Nugent design features one of the most enjoyable 18-hole public championship golf courses in downstate Illinois.  It’s beautifully manicured bent grass greens, tees, and fairways, soft smooth slopes, and subtle elevation changes makes Stone Creek a true golfers experience.  With numerous lakes and stone laden creeks, Stone Creek is a true delight to golfers and holds true to its name.
